Is the Thyssen ticket worth it?
Yes, for one very specific reason: the Thyssen is the best «summary» of the history of painting you can see in Madrid in a single museum. It's manageable —you can enjoy it calmly in 1.5–2 hours— it usually has fewer crowds than the Prado and it brings together works you won't find in the other two greats, especially Impressionism and 20th-century painting.
